Stoke-on-Trent: Families and dog walkers are pretty happy about a new zebra crossing on a busy road. The crossing is on Little Chell Lane, just a short distance from Sunnyside Avenue and close to Victoria Park.

Residents believe this crossing will make it safer for people, especially kids heading to school. They’re also hoping it’ll help slow down those speedy drivers.

Raja Wasim, a local dad, mentioned that the crossing was definitely needed since there’s a school nearby. He feels it’ll make things safer for the children.

Peter Turner, who often walks his dog in the park, echoed those thoughts. He thinks the crossing will help slow traffic, especially with kids around.

Ana-Marie Currall, who grew up in the area, also supports the crossing. She believes more measures are needed to slow down traffic, especially with double parking near the school.

Councillor Finlay Gordon-McCusker shared that this project is part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety in the city. The goal is to connect local greenways and promote active travel.
