Navi Mumbai: Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently raised concerns about the youth in India being targeted by drugs. He described drugs as an “invisible enemy” and called for a united fight against this issue.

At the launch of the ‘Nasha Mukta Navi Mumbai’ campaign, he emphasized that this isn’t just a local problem but a battle for the entire country. Fadnavis pointed out that while India is growing stronger economically, the youth are being undermined by drug abuse.

He mentioned that other countries have struggled with this issue, but he believes India can win this fight. The CM stressed that society’s role is crucial in tackling the drug menace. He encouraged everyone to educate the youth about the dangers of drug use, stating that doing drugs is not cool and can ruin lives.

Fadnavis framed the fight against drugs as a form of patriotism, urging citizens to get involved. He concluded by saying that the first step to success is for individuals to commit to staying away from drugs. Bollywood actor John Abraham also supported the campaign, highlighting the importance of celebrity involvement in spreading the message.

The Navi Mumbai Police are set to lead this initiative, aiming to make the region drug-free.
