Greenwich: Recent data from On Time Trains has shown which train stations in the UK are the busiest. They looked at how many people come and go each day.

In Greenwich, they checked out all 13 train stations to see which ones were the most popular in 2024. And guess what? Woolwich came out on top!

Woolwich station had an average of 36,266 visitors daily, making it the busiest in the borough. Not too shabby, right?

When you compare it to other stations across the UK, Woolwich ranked 219th out of 2,639. Pretty impressive for a local station!

Last year, they found that 61% of trains were on time, with only a small percentage running late or getting canceled. So, it seems like things are running fairly smoothly.

Woolwich is part of the Elizabeth Line, which means you can hop on a train and head straight to central London, Canary Wharf, or even Heathrow Airport.

On the flip side, the least used station in Greenwich was Woolwich Dockyard, with just 841 visitors a day. It’s served by Southeastern trains, connecting to places like central London and Dartford.

In 2024, only 33% of trains at Woolwich Dockyard were on time, with many running a bit late. So, it’s clear that Woolwich is the place to be for train travel in the area!
