On Sunday, Jeju Air flight 7C2216 tragically skidded off the runway at Muan International Airport, leading to a devastating fire. Sadly, 179 people lost their lives.
Only two crew members made it out alive, and they’re currently being treated for burns. Eyewitness videos showed the plane sliding along the runway, sparks flying everywhere. It was a chaotic scene.
The flight was coming in from Bangkok with 175 passengers on board. Authorities are looking into a possible bird strike that might have caused the landing gear issue.
