Lima, Ohio, Kayla Jones, Dwan Ward, Assault, Grand Jury

Lima: So, here’s the scoop. A woman named Kayla Jones is in some serious trouble. Her assault case just got bumped up from the local court to the Allen County Common Pleas Court. This means a grand jury will take a look at it.

The whole thing went down on December 13. A guy was found lying on the sidewalk after being run over by a car. He had some nasty injuries, including a bloody mouth. He was taken to the hospital, and that’s when the story started to unfold.

Turns out, the man and Kayla were visiting friends in Lima. After dropping her off, he picked her up later with another guy, Dwan Ward. Things got messy when Ward tried to pull the man out of the car. In the chaos, Kayla jumped in the driver’s seat and ran her husband over. Then, both of them took off.

Now, Kayla is sitting in the Allen County Jail with a hefty bond of $250,000. Dwan is also locked up, but for a different theft charge. It’s a wild situation, for sure.
