Sydenham: A woman is still in the hospital after a shooting last month that tragically took the life of a father-to-be. The police say she has a long road ahead for recovery.

The incident happened on November 10, when Curtis Green, 30, was shot and killed in the Wells Park Road area. He was at a party that started the night before, and things took a terrible turn.

Along with Curtis, two others were shot. Thankfully, their injuries were not life-threatening, but one woman is still receiving treatment for her leg wounds.

Since then, the police have made two arrests, but those individuals are currently out on bail. Detective Chief Inspector Samantha Townsend is leading the investigation and is asking anyone with information to come forward.

She emphasized that even small details could be crucial. The family of Curtis Green is heartbroken, especially with the holidays approaching, and they’re desperate for answers.

In a heartfelt statement, his family shared how much he loved his community and was looking forward to becoming a father in just five months. They’re urging anyone who knows something to step up and help bring justice.

It’s a tough time for everyone involved, and the community is being called upon to support the family and help stop the violence that’s been happening too often.
