Perth: A tragic incident unfolded in Balga when a 22-year-old woman was fatally stabbed. The accused, Clarence Jalloh, 30, has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
On March 16, around 8 PM, Mauwa Kizenga, also known as Melanie, was out for a walk with her cousin on Walderton Ave when the attack happened. It was a normal evening that turned horrifying.
Security footage shows the two women walking just moments before the alleged attack, which occurred near Balga Primary School. It’s chilling to think how quickly things can change.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and tried to help Ms. Kizenga, but her injuries were too severe. Sadly, she didn’t make it to the hospital.
Jalloh has been in custody since his arrest and appeared in court via video link, where he entered his plea. He’s set to return to court on February 19.
