Woman left with brain injury after gardening tool attack

In her victim impact statement, she shared how the attack has caused her daily anxiety and severe headaches. Her dreams of a career have been shattered, and she struggles to communicate.

Hutchison was sentenced to six years in prison for his actions, with the judge noting that he intended to cause serious harm. He will serve four years before being released, and a restraining order has been placed on him to keep him away from the victim.
