Stratford: A mother of three, Leanne McDonnell, is in hot water after a tragic incident. She’s denying that she owned a pit bull that attacked her friend, Akif Mustaq, leading to his death.
This all went down on December 4, when the dog, named Prince, reportedly mauled Akif. He suffered serious injuries to his neck and other areas and sadly passed away the next day.
Leanne, 33, showed up at Snaresbrook Crown Court wearing a long green coat and using a crutch. It’s been a tough time for her, no doubt.
Police were called early that morning after reports of a man seriously hurt. Akif was rushed to the hospital but didn’t make it.
Leanne is facing more charges related to the dog and was granted conditional bail. She’s set to return to court on June 2. It’s a heartbreaking situation for everyone involved.
