Ciénaga: So, there was this wild incident in Colombia where a young woman got attacked by a capybara while she was swimming. Can you believe it? The capybara is the biggest rodent in the world!
It all went down when she spotted the animal and tried to back away in the water, waving her finger to tell it to stay back. But out of nowhere, it jumped right at her!
Usually, capybaras are pretty chill and only attack if they feel threatened. But this one clearly didn’t get the memo.
The poor girl was wrestling with the rodent, trying to shake it off her back. It was a scary scene, and she was screaming for help as it kept jumping on her and biting her head.
Luckily, a guy on the shore saw what was happening. He grabbed a big stick and rushed in to help her out of the water. Talk about a hero!
People nearby were shocked by the whole thing. One local pointed out that just because capybaras look cute in videos doesn’t mean they’re not wild animals.
Another person commented on how terrifying it was for the girl. And someone else wondered why it took so long for help to arrive while the rodent was biting her.
Capybaras are native to South America and usually hang out near water. They can weigh up to 146 pounds and live around 8 to 10 years. They’re generally friendly but can bite if they feel threatened.
So, yeah, that was quite the adventure for her! Stay safe out there, folks!
