Nantwich: A pretty wild situation went down recently. A woman got arrested, and sadly, her dog was destroyed after two police officers were bitten.

It all started when the officers showed up at a home on Reaseheath Way. They were there to check on a wanted person. While they were at the house, a dog attacked them.

Both officers had to go to the hospital. The police tried to calm the dog down with sedation, but it didn’t work. So, they made the tough call to destroy the dog right there.

The woman, who is 33, was arrested for having a dangerously out-of-control dog. She’s been released but is still under investigation.

The police said they had to prioritize the safety of everyone involved. Detective Superintendent Adam Waller mentioned that this was a tough decision, but they had to act quickly to keep everyone safe. He reassured the community that this was an isolated incident.
