Washington: So, there was this intense game on Monday night, right? The Wizards were up against the Knicks, and things took a scary turn. Rookie Carlton “Bub” Carrington went down hard with a head injury.
It happened in the third quarter. Bub was trying to guard OG Anunoby when he fell back and hit his head on the court. Ouch! You could see him reach for the back of his head right away.
They had to help him up and wheel him off the court with a towel over his head. It was pretty alarming. At that point, he had six points, five assists, and five rebounds. The Wizards said he had a post-traumatic headache, but we don’t know much more yet.
This season, Bub’s been doing well, averaging 9.1 points and leading all rookies in minutes and assists. He was picked 14th overall from Pittsburgh, so everyone’s been keeping an eye on him.
As for the game, the Knicks pulled away in the fourth quarter, winning 126-106. Josh Hart had a triple-double, and the Knicks improved to 23-10. Meanwhile, the Wizards are struggling with a 5-25 record, the worst in the Eastern Conference.
