Houston: So, Jim Harbaugh, the Chargers coach, is dealing with some serious health stuff after the season. He’s got a cardiac ablation and a hip replacement on his agenda. Ouch!
After that playoff loss to the Texans, he really struggled to walk off the field. It was tough to watch. He’s been having heart issues for a while now, and this isn’t his first rodeo with it.
Back in Week 6, during a game against the Broncos, he had to head to the locker room for an irregular heartbeat. They gave him an IV and some magnesium to help him out. He’s a tough guy, though, and came back to coach the rest of the game.
Harbaugh even joked that it would take his heart stopping for him not to be on the sidelines. That’s dedication! But he’s been wearing a heart monitor and taking meds to keep things in check since then.
This isn’t the first time he’s dealt with this kind of heart issue. He had his first atrial flutter back in 1999 and another one in 2012. Plus, he was limping off the field in Houston, likely due to his hip problems.
It’s a lot for him to handle, but he’s pushing through. Let’s hope he gets the care he needs and comes back strong!
