Winchester: PC Will Andrews, the local neighborhood officer, is setting up some meetings to help the community tackle recent burglaries. He’s teamed up with community members to make this happen.
These gatherings are scheduled for Tuesday, January 21 at 6:30 PM at Badger Farm Community Centre and Wednesday, January 22 at 11 AM at St Luke’s Church in Stanmore.
During the meetings, folks will learn how to secure their homes, spot suspicious behavior, and get the latest crime prevention tips. Plus, there’ll be advice on what to do if you ever find yourself a victim of burglary.
PC Andrews mentioned that he chose these two spots to make it easier for people to attend. If the turnout is good, he and his team are open to hosting more sessions across the city and even in nearby rural areas.
He also pointed out that the first meeting is perfect for those who work typical office hours, while the second one is more suited for those who prefer a daytime event. The content will be the same for both.
If anyone has questions or concerns, PC Andrews encourages them to reach out via email at william.andrews@hampshire.police.uk.
