Philadelphia: So, Zack Baun had a good laugh when he saw his contract with the Eagles. You know, the one that included a Pro Bowl incentive. He didn’t think that was something he’d be aiming for right now.

He mentioned, “Honestly, when I signed here, I just kind of laughed at the fact that (a Pro Bowl) incentive was in my contract.” It’s funny how things turn out, right? He didn’t think he could reach that level just yet.

But guess what? He’s now one of six Eagles named to the NFC Pro Bowl team. This is his first year as a full-time starter and as an off-ball linebacker. Talk about a turnaround!

Before joining the Eagles, Baun had a pretty quiet career. He started just 14 games in four years and had only one interception. But now, he’s making waves.

He’s the first Eagles position player to make a Pro Bowl in his first year as a full-time player since Donovan McNabb back in 2000. That’s a big deal!

Baun said he didn’t even think about the Pro Bowl until people started commenting on his Instagram. It’s wild how social media can change your perspective, huh?

He’s been working hard, and it’s paying off. This year, he’s racked up some impressive stats: 3 ½ sacks, an interception, and 151 tackles. He’s really shining on the Eagles’ top-ranked defense.

And even though he’s unsigned beyond this year, he’s hoping to stick around. “I love it here. I love the guys in this locker room,” he said. Fingers crossed for him!
