San Francisco: The NBA All-Star Game is just around the corner, and fans are buzzing about the first round of voting results. Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins have made quite the impression, landing solid spots in the rankings.
Right now, Wiggins is sitting at eighth among frontcourt players, while Curry is third among guards in the Western Conference. Not too shabby, right?
Leading the pack are Nikola Jokić and Giannis Antetokounmpo, who are topping their respective conferences in fan votes. Fans have a big say in who gets to start, making up 50% of the total vote, with players and media each contributing 25%.
The next update on fan voting is set for January 9, so keep an eye out for that. It’s exciting to think about who will make the final cut!
Curry, a 10-time All-Star, is currently behind only Luka Dončić and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the fan vote. With Dončić dealing with a calf injury, it’s looking like Curry could snag a starting spot.
Imagine the scene if Curry gets to start in the first All-Star Game at Chase Center! That would be something special for the fans and the team.
