Philadelphia: So, the Eagles are heading into the playoffs, and there’s a lot of chatter about Jake Elliott’s confidence. If it comes down to a last-minute field goal, how do you feel about him? It’s a bit of a mixed bag.

Elliott has been a solid kicker for the Eagles over the years. He’s never missed a kick in the postseason, and he nailed some crucial field goals during the Super Bowl run. But this season? Not so great. He’s missed eight kicks, which ties the most for an Eagles kicker since the early ’90s. That’s a bit concerning.

Michael Clay, the special teams coach, says Elliott’s confidence is still high. He believes Elliott is his own toughest critic and is ready to bounce back. After missing a 39-yarder recently, Elliott did manage to hit a couple of shorter ones, which is a good sign.

This year, he’s made 28 out of 36 attempts, which isn’t terrible, but it puts him near the bottom of the league. The real kicker? He’s only made one out of seven attempts from 50 yards or more. That’s a huge drop from his previous seasons.

Despite the struggles, Elliott has a solid postseason record. He’s perfect in the playoffs, which is impressive. But fans are left wondering if he can shake off this rough patch when it really counts.

It’s wild to think that most of his misses have come at home, where he used to be super reliable. The Eagles need him to find his groove again, especially with the playoffs right around the corner. Fingers crossed he can pull it together!
