Before this, Zoe Ball wrapped up her time on the show on December 20 after six years. Trevor Nelson is now taking over Scott’s old slot from 2pm to 4pm, while DJ Spoony will fill Trevor’s late-night spot.
Scott’s got some great company too. He’ll be joined by newsreader Tina Daheley and Ellie Brennan, who will handle traffic and travel updates. Sounds like a fun team!
Scott’s been counting down the days. He said it’s a dream come true to host the biggest breakfast show in the UK. How cool is that?

Scott also mentioned how thrilled he is to follow in Zoe’s footsteps. She was the first woman to host the Breakfast Show, taking over from Chris Evans back in January 2019.
Zoe decided to leave in November, wanting to focus more on family and step away from those early mornings. Her last show was filled with sweet messages from stars like Kylie Minogue and David Tennant.
By the way, Zoe was the highest-paid female presenter at the BBC this year, earning between £950,000 and £954,999. Quite the achievement!
