San Francisco: The Warriors kicked off 2025 with a bang, following up a huge win with a solid 121-113 victory over the Grizzlies at Chase Center. Even without Steph Curry and a couple of other key players, they managed to pull it off.

Andrew Wiggins was the star of the night, scoring 24 points, with most of them coming in the second half. Dennis Schroder also stepped up, scoring 17 points, which was his best showing in a Warriors jersey so far. The team had six players in double figures, which is always a good sign.

While the Grizzlies dominated in the paint, outscoring the Warriors 64-32, Golden State found their rhythm from beyond the arc, hitting 23 of 43 three-pointers. The Grizzlies, on the other hand, struggled with just nine out of 27 attempts.

One of the tough moments was Jonathan Kuminga getting injured in the second quarter. He was having a great game, scoring 13 points before he had to leave with a sprained ankle. It was a bummer because he was really on fire lately.

Wiggins had a slow start, only scoring two points in the first half. But he turned it around big time in the third quarter, scoring 18 points and helping the Warriors maintain their lead. His dunk late in the game really got the crowd going.

There was also a sweet moment during the game when the backup point guards, Pat Spencer and Cam Jenkins, faced off. They’re brothers, and it was fun to see them compete, even if it was just for a few minutes. In the end, Pat got the win, which must have felt pretty good.

All in all, it was a great night for the Warriors, and they’re looking to keep the momentum going as the season rolls on.
