Sacramento: The Kings pulled off a nail-biter against the Grizzlies, winning 138-133. Malik Monk was on fire, scoring 31 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter. De’Aaron Fox also had a solid game with 21 points, despite a scary moment when he took a hard foul late in the game.

Fox has been on a roll, scoring 20 or more points in nine straight games. This win marked the Kings’ third in a row under interim coach Doug Christie. Domantas Sabonis contributed with a double-double, and Trey Lyles added 16 points.

The game had its tense moments, especially when Fox got fouled hard while going for a dunk. Fans held their breath as he limped but stayed in the game to help secure the win.

In a bright spot, rookie Devin Carter made his NBA debut after recovering from shoulder surgery. He didn’t score but brought energy to the defense and even helped set up a dunk.

The Kings started strong, scoring 46 points in the first quarter, their best this season. They hit 10 three-pointers, tying for the third-most in franchise history.

However, they need to work on their fouling, especially on three-point attempts. This has been a recurring issue, and it’s something they need to clean up moving forward.
