Kings Suffer Heartbreaking Loss After Late Collapse Against Pistons
The Kings fell to the Pistons 114-113, extending their losing streak to five games in a dramatic finish at Golden 1 Center
Sacramento, Kings, Pistons, De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis
De’Aaron Fox had a decent game, scoring 26 points, but a late foul on Jaden Ivey changed everything. Ivey hit a three-pointer and got fouled, making it a four-point play with just 3.1 seconds left. The crowd was not happy as the Kings couldn’t get a good shot off at the end.
Without Domantas Sabonis due to illness, the Kings struggled to maintain their lead. Trey Lyles stepped up with a season-high 20 points, and DeMar DeRozan added 19. But it just wasn’t enough to seal the deal.
The Kings had a chance to win it with Kevin Huerter’s free throws, but they couldn’t close it out. It’s frustrating to see them lead for most of the game and then fall apart at the end.
One bright spot was DeRozan’s aggressive play. He was driving to the basket more, which was great to see after a rough patch. The Kings also got some solid contributions from their bench, which has been a weak spot this season.
Overall, it was a tough loss, and the Kings will need to regroup quickly if they want to turn things around.
