Boston: It’s almost 2025, and The Old Farmer’s Almanac says we’re in for a pretty chill January. Unlike last year, which was super wet, this month looks to be on the quieter side.

Last January was the 10th-wettest on record, according to NOAA. So, what’s in store for this year? Will we see snowstorms or just some rain?

Well, the Almanac suggests we can expect warmer weather overall. They mentioned that New England will likely have near-to-above-average temperatures.

At the start of the month, there might be some rain and snow showers, but overall, January is expected to be drier.

As for the Presidential inauguration on January 20, it looks like it’ll be chilly but dry with some sunshine. So, if you’re heading out, you might want to bundle up!

Switching gears, AccuWeather has a short-term forecast that includes some storms as we wrap up the year. If you’re traveling back from holiday trips, be prepared for some weather.

They’re warning about a potential freezing rain situation in parts of the northeast, including Pennsylvania and New York, from Friday night into Saturday morning.

Most of the precipitation expected next week will be rain, which could complicate holiday travel plans. But hey, temperatures are set to be 10-20 degrees warmer than last weekend!
