West Lothian: A dad was found dead with his six-year-old daughter. Police say his death is not suspicious. They discovered the bodies on January 20.

Mark Gordon, 36, and his daughter Hope were found at their home in West Calder. Police launched an investigation after Hope was reported missing from school.

Initially, Hope’s death was treated as murder. However, a post-mortem examination showed Mark’s death is not suspicious. Police believe it may be a murder-suicide.

Mark shared custody of Hope with her mother, Margaret. A family friend said there were no signs he could harm his daughter.

Hope’s family is heartbroken. Her aunt described her as a remarkable girl with a bright future. They have raised over £8,000 for her funeral.

Friends and family are supporting Margaret during this tough time. They can’t believe what happened and are struggling to cope.

Police are still investigating and urge anyone with information to come forward. They want to provide answers to the families affected by this tragedy.
