Arlington: Voodoo Room brought the music of Hendrix, Cream, and Clapton to life. The show was sold out and drew a crowd of all ages, from kids to adults. It was great to see young fans enjoying classic rock.
Voodoo Room, named after “Voodoo Child” and “White Room,” honored these rock legends. They played as a power trio, just like Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Their rhythm section was tight, and the lead guitar work was impressive.
The band played for nearly two and a half hours, excluding the break. One highlight was Pete Orr’s guitar, a replica of ‘The Fool,’ which has a fascinating history. It was once owned by Eric Clapton and sold for over a million dollars at auction.
They opened with Hendrix tracks and mixed in Cream and Clapton songs throughout the night. The variety kept the audience engaged. With so many great songs to choose from, Voodoo Room showcased timeless classics like “Hey Joe,” “Layla,” and “Tales of Brave Ulysses.”
Overall, it was an absolutely superb night of music.
