Water Line Break Leaves Springfield Apartments Without Water for Days
Residents of a Springfield apartment complex are struggling without water after a major line break left them in a tough situation this weekend
Springfield, Water Line Break, Sunset Hills Apartments, Ohio
Yesina Betsy, a long-time resident, was taken aback when she learned about the situation. She was washing dishes with her kids when the water suddenly stopped. The apartment manager, Shellette Golden, confirmed that the water main line had broken in the courtyard.
Residents like April Shinn received a gallon of water from management, but it wasn’t enough to even flush her toilet. She expressed frustration, wishing they had been notified earlier about the issue. Golden apologized to the residents, acknowledging their struggles.
Chris Moore, the city’s service director, mentioned that they’ve tried to contact the apartment management to resolve the issue but haven’t had any luck. Golden plans to follow up with the city’s utilities department on Monday. The city does have a 24/7 maintenance number for emergencies, but it seems communication has been a challenge.
