Week 16 Wrap: Josh Allen falls back to Earth at the worst time for fantasy football managers

Buffalo: The Bills managed to snag a win, but it came at a cost. Josh Allen had a rough outing during the fantasy semifinals, which was a bummer for many managers. After a stellar two-week run, he only managed 5.3 yards per attempt and didn’t score a rushing touchdown for the first time in six games. To make matters worse, a defensive touchdown from Buffalo cut into his chances in the fourth quarter. Plus, it was revealed that he’s been playing with a fractured left hand since Week 1, so maybe we should cut him some slack after all.

On the bright side, James Cook had a fantastic game, scoring twice on just 14 touches, including a 46-yard touchdown run. He’s really turned things around this season, racking up 14 rushing touchdowns so far. It’s impressive how he’s found his groove in this offense.

Meanwhile, over in New England, Drake Maye was making waves. He threw a beautiful pass to Kayshon Boutte, who led the team in catches and yards. Maye’s been showing off his skills, and he’s definitely one to watch. Rhamondre Stevenson had a nice touchdown run but also fumbled, which is a bit concerning.

The Bills had a shaky start, only managing 11 yards in the first quarter, but they still pulled off the win. They were aiming to make history by scoring 30+ points in nine straight games, but that didn’t happen this time.

In other games, Jayden Daniels shone for Washington, throwing five touchdowns and rushing for 75 yards, while Saquon Barkley had a standout performance for the Giants. It’s been a wild week in the NFL, and fantasy managers are feeling the heat as the playoffs approach.
