Evansville: The National Weather Service just updated its forecast for the winter storm hitting the Tri-State. They’re saying it’s going to be a wild day ahead.

In the Evansville area, expect heavy sleet and snow, with some freezing rain thrown in. We’re looking at about 2 to 5 inches of snow, and it’s going to be heavy and wet. So, if you have to travel, be ready for some major impacts on the roads.

Over in Western Kentucky, including Henderson and Owensboro, it’s a mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow. They’re predicting 1 to 3 inches of sleet and snow, plus a bit of ice—up to half an inch in some spots. Again, travel is going to be tricky.

As for when this storm will wrap up, most of the precipitation should clear out between 8 a.m. and noon on Monday. The last bit will just be snow, so hang in there!

Stay safe out there, folks, and keep an eye on the weather updates!
