Mumbai: So, Sanjay Raut from Shiv Sena (UBT) just dropped a bombshell! He announced that they’re going solo for the municipal elections in Mumbai and Nagpur. No alliances this time, just them.

He mentioned that he had a chat with the Nagpur party chief, Pramod Manmode, about this decision. Raut is pretty clear: they want to take charge and see how things go on their own.

Raut believes this move will help strengthen the party locally. He pointed out that their workers often miss out on opportunities to contest in bigger elections. It’s all about giving them a chance to shine.

He said, “In the alliance, our workers don’t get to fight in the Lok Sabha or Assembly elections. This is holding us back. We need to focus on local elections to grow.”

Raut also called on the Congress party to step up and help save the INDIA alliance, which was formed for the upcoming general elections. He’s not too happy that they haven’t had a single meeting since the last elections.

He stressed that it’s the Congress’s job to get everyone together. With the assembly elections coming up on February 5, tensions are rising, especially with Congress and AAP clashing in Delhi.

Earlier, D Raja from the CPI admitted that the INDIA bloc is feeling a bit fractured after the Lok Sabha elections. He’s all about uniting the secular and democratic parties to take on the BJP.
