San Francisco: So, there was this little moment during the game between the Warriors and Mavericks that caught some eyes. Lindy Waters III, the Warriors forward, really showed his competitive side.
In that game, which ended with a 143-133 loss for the Warriors, Waters had a quick run-in with Luka Dončić. It all happened during a timeout when Waters slapped the ball right out of Luka’s hands. He later explained to NBC Sports Bay Area that it was more than just a casual move.
Waters mentioned he knew Luka liked to shoot after the whistle, so he instinctively went for the ball. He said, “I wanted the ball, so I took it from him.” You could tell Luka wasn’t too happy about it, and the video showed him stopping to give Waters a piece of his mind.
But here’s the kicker: Waters didn’t let it get to him. He just brushed it off, saying he wasn’t really paying attention to what Luka was saying. He was more focused on his game and getting some rest on the bench.
Even though the Warriors lost, Waters had a solid game, finishing with 12 points and a plus-13 rating. It’s moments like these that show how he’s always looking for those little wins on the court.
