Eastern Australia: Folks in the eastern parts of Australia need to brace themselves for some wild weather. While some areas are sweltering with temps over 40 degrees, the Bureau of Meteorology is warning about severe storms coming this Thursday.

According to meteorologist Dean Narramore, eastern NSW is in for showers and thunderstorms, and some of those could pack a punch with heavy rain, large hail, and strong winds. So, keep an eye out!

Meanwhile, the western regions are enjoying hot, dry, and sunny weather, with temps hanging in the low to high 30s. But don’t let that fool you; the east is getting hit hard with wet weather.

Severe thunderstorms are expected to bring damaging winds and heavy rainfall, which could lead to flash flooding in the affected areas. Places like Dalby, Oakey, and Millmerran should be on high alert.

Even though a high-pressure system is keeping much of the country dry, eastern Australia is in for a rainy Thursday. Showers and storms are also likely in parts of NSW and southwest Queensland.

In Queensland, it’s a mixed bag. The western parts are still hot and dry, but southeast Queensland, including Brisbane, is looking at widespread showers and storms with a cooler 29 degrees.

Birdsville and Longreach are set to sizzle at 43 degrees, while Victoria will see a dry and sunny day with many cities in the low to mid 30s. Melbourne is expected to be partly cloudy with a high of 31 degrees.

South Australia is also in for another hot day, with Adelaide reaching 33 degrees and Cooper Peedy hitting 41 degrees. Perth will be around 30 degrees, while Exmouth is forecasted to reach a scorching 43 degrees.

Widespread showers and storms are on the horizon for the Kimberly, Top End, and Cape York regions, with Darwin expecting a warm 34 degrees and a chance of thunderstorms.
