Hereford: Lucy Letby’s lawyers are going live on January 4. They will share what they call “new medical evidence” in her case.

Lucy, 35, is serving 15 life sentences. She was convicted of murdering seven babies and trying to kill seven more between 2015 and 2016.

These tragic events happened while she worked as a nurse in the neonatal unit at Countess of Chester Hospital.

A special panel of 14 neonatologists will present their analysis at the press conference in London.

Dr. Shoo Lee, a retired doctor, is part of this panel. He co-authored a key paper on air embolism in babies back in 1989.

Dr. Lee believes the prosecution misinterpreted his findings on skin discoloration during the trial.

Reports suggest the expert panel found other possible causes of death for many of the babies involved in the case.

Letby’s lawyers plan to approach the Criminal Cases Review Commission. This group looks into possible miscarriages of justice.

Sir David Davis, a former Tory minister, will chair the panel. Letby’s barrister, Mark McDonald, will also be there.
