San Francisco: So, the Warriors are having a rough time, huh? They kicked off 2025 with a 16-16 record, which isn’t exactly what fans were hoping for. Just a few weeks ago, they were looking pretty solid, but things have taken a nosedive.
It all started with that frustrating loss to the Spurs. They had a 17-point lead and somehow let it slip away. Then, they lost to the Nets after leading by 18. Ouch! That kicked off a five-game losing streak, and now they’re sitting at 10th in the Western Conference.
Let’s talk offense. At the start of the season, they were scoring like crazy, but now they’re ranked 17th in points per game. They’re still shooting a lot of threes, but their percentage has dropped. Missing layups and not converting on open shots has been a real issue. It’s like they forgot how to score sometimes!
On the defensive side, they can still be elite, but there are too many lapses. They’re giving up way too many open shots, especially from beyond the arc. It’s frustrating to watch because they have the talent to be better. They need to tighten up and play with more intensity from the get-go.
As for the stars, Curry and Green are still doing their thing, but you can see Father Time creeping in. Curry had a fantastic game on Christmas, but he’s been held under 20 points way too often. Green is still a defensive beast, but he’s not scoring as much as he used to.
New additions like Schröder and Hield haven’t really panned out. They need to step up and find their rhythm. The young guys like Kuminga and Podziemski are showing flashes of potential, but they need to be more consistent.
Health is another concern. Curry has missed some games with knee issues, and other players are dealing with injuries too. It’s tough when you can’t rely on your key guys to be on the court.
Coaching-wise, Kerr is feeling the heat. Fans are quick to blame him when things go south, but it’s not all on him. He’s trying to find the right combinations, but it’s a work in progress.
Overall, the Warriors are in a bit of a funk. They know it, and they’re looking for a fresh start in 2025. Let’s hope they can turn things around and get back to their winning ways!
