Warrington: The pantomime Cinderella has kicked off with a bang, selling out its opening weekend at Parr Hall. Everyone’s been buzzing to see the show.
Christopher Pym, from Stockton Heath, is playing Prince Charming, and Daniel Dean is back as Buttons. Daniel loves the panto vibe, saying it brings out his inner child.
He mentioned how special it feels to wear the Buttons outfit, making him feel like a kid again. It’s all about spreading that panto magic to the little ones.
Anne Hegerty, known from ITV’s The Chase, is also in the mix, trading her tough persona for the Fairy Godmother role. She’s excited to play a good character this time.
Anne joked about her past experiences of being booed on stage, saying it’s nice to be the one everyone cheers for. The audience seems to agree, as they loved her performance.
The show opened on January 3 and had a fantastic response, with nearly all performances sold out. Families have been raving about the cast, especially Anne.
A spokesperson for Culture Warrington expressed their delight at the overwhelming response, noting that the show has been a hit with audiences.
Cinderella will be running until January 12, so there’s still time for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet. Tickets are available online or by calling the box office.
