West Midlands: A dog named Comet was found in a terrible state, tied to a lamp-post. He had stab wounds and was clearly in distress. Thankfully, someone spotted him and called for help.
This kind person stayed with Comet, giving him food and blankets until the RSPCA arrived. Their quick thinking made a huge difference for Comet, who needed urgent medical care.
When the RSPCA officer, Bal Dhamia, got to Comet, it was heartbreaking. He was bleeding and in pain, and Bal knew they had to act fast to get him to the vet.
At the RSPCA Birmingham Animal Hospital, Comet received treatment for three stab wounds. Despite everything he went through, he’s shown incredible strength and is now recovering at the Cotswolds Dogs & Cats Home.
Now, Comet is ready for adoption and looking for a forever home. He’s a big, lovable guy who thinks he’s a lapdog. He loves giving kisses and is sure to bring joy to anyone who takes him in.
Amy, the Animal Operations Manager, shared how resilient Comet is. She said he deserves a fresh start with a family that will love him. It’s clear he’s been through a lot, but he still trusts people and shows affection.
While Comet waits for his new family, he’s getting all the love and care he needs. The RSPCA is still investigating what happened to him, but for now, they’re focused on helping him heal.
