Albuquerque: The weather has been surprisingly warm for this time of year. Today, the sun is shining, and it feels more like spring than winter. Even the winds in eastern New Mexico are picking up, but they’re just adding to the warmth.

Looking ahead, this pleasant weather is sticking around through Monday and Christmas Eve. But don’t get too comfy just yet! A storm is expected to brush by on Christmas Day. It won’t bring much moisture, though. We might see a couple of inches of snow in the northern mountains, but that’s about it.

Most of us will just get a light mix of rain and snow in the lower areas, especially in northern New Mexico and southwest Colorado. The winds are going to be the real story, gusting up to 45 mph in some spots. But hey, at least the temperatures will stay mild, just like we’ve been enjoying lately.

After the storm passes on Thursday, things will cool down a bit, but nothing too drastic. So, if you’re planning any holiday activities, it looks like you’ll be able to enjoy them in relatively nice weather!
