Walsall, UK, Police, Section 60, Violent Disorder

Walsall: So, the police have been given some extra powers because they’re worried about possible violent trouble. They can now stop and search anyone in certain areas without needing a reason.

This started last night and will last until 10 AM today. The West Midlands Police said they’ll have more officers out and about to help keep everyone feeling safe.

These powers cover places like Willenhall, Shortheath, Bloxwich, and Coldmore. Inspector Phil Upton mentioned that they don’t take this lightly but will do what it takes to keep people safe.

They really want to reassure everyone, especially with the extra officers on the streets tonight and in the days to come. It’s all about making sure the community feels secure.
