Cardiff: So, here’s the scoop. Former Wales rugby player Leigh Davies is taking legal action against Hydro Industries, a water company run by David Pickering, who used to captain the Welsh team. Leigh claims he’s been shortchanged to the tune of over £125,000.

Leigh, who played for teams like Scarlets and Ospreys, says he got involved with Hydro after helping one of its directors with fitness training. He introduced them to a friend who had connections in the UAE, and that’s where things got tricky.

He signed a deal back in 2013 that promised him a 5% commission on any business he helped bring in. Fast forward to 2016, and Hydro wanted him to sign a new contract that slashed his commission to just 1%. Naturally, that raised some red flags for him.

During a meeting with Hydro’s CEO, Wayne Preece, Leigh was shown a forecast that suggested he’d still make a decent amount, even with the lower commission. But, as it turns out, things weren’t as rosy as they seemed. He later found out that a big contract was signed shortly after he agreed to the new terms, and he missed out on a hefty payout.

Now, Leigh is claiming Hydro deceived him by not disclosing that contract and is asking the court to look into all their deals since 2013. He feels completely let down by the company and its directors, and it looks like this legal battle is just heating up.
