London: The council is offering £600,000 for community-led projects to help recover from the Grenfell tragedy. This funding aims to support local initiatives that bring people together and enrich the community.

Today, voting opens for 26 shortlisted projects under the Grenfell Project Fund. Residents can vote online or in person until February 16. You can find details about the projects on the council’s website and around the community.

To qualify for funding, projects must focus on three themes: community connection, cultural enrichment, and support for vulnerable residents. The projects will be funded based on the number of votes they receive, until the £600,000 runs out.

Cllr Sarah Addenbrooke encourages all North Kensington residents to vote. She emphasizes that every vote matters in deciding which projects will receive funding and make a real difference in the community.

Since its launch in 2019, the Grenfell Project Fund has supported over 100 diverse initiatives. These include youth fitness training, arts workshops, and social support groups aimed at improving resident wellbeing.

The fund was developed in collaboration with the North Kensington Residents’ Panel, ensuring it meets the community’s needs.
