London: Over the weekend, the city faced a wave of violence with stabbings and shootings. It’s been a tough time for the community.

On January 11, three men were hurt in separate incidents in Homerton. The police are looking into what happened.

Officers rushed to Homerton station after reports of a shooting. They found a 27-year-old man injured. Not far away, two other men, aged 28 and 29, were also hurt.

One was shot, and the other was stabbed. Thankfully, none of their injuries are life-threatening. The station was closed for about twelve hours but has since reopened.

Police are trying to figure out if these incidents are connected. Supt Brigid Beehag-Fisher mentioned the need for community safety and that they’re working hard to find out what happened.

As of now, no arrests have been made. They’re asking anyone with information to reach out to them.

Then, on January 13, another stabbing occurred near Frogwell Close. Emergency services were called early in the morning, but sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 20-year-old man was arrested there, along with two others, on suspicion of murder. The police believe they know who the victim is and are notifying his family.

Witnesses reported seeing police raids in the area after the stabbing. Det Chif Supt Caroline Haines assured locals that more police presence would be around as they investigate.

They’re urging anyone who might have seen or heard anything to come forward. Every bit of information can help.
