Two vape shops in Liverpool are facing closures. The city council is cracking down on illegal sales. Tech Bros on Priory Road is shut for two months.

Trading Standards visited the shop on January 23. They found no contraband, but the court still ordered the closure. The council aims to stop illegal trade in the area.

Smart Point on Lime Street also faced issues. Officers had to break into a safe to find fake tech items. The shop will stay closed until a new hearing on February 3.

The court said the businesses caused a “serious nuisance” to the public. They also secured over £1,800 in costs from Tech Bros. Another vape shop got a temporary stay on its closure.

Recently, a convenience store lost its license for selling vapes to teens. This happened between September 2022 and November last year. The council is serious about enforcing these rules.
