South Shields: A woman was bitten by a dog, and now the police are on the hunt for the owner. It all went down at the Leas near Trow Quarry car park.

The incident happened on a Sunday evening, between 5 and 5:30 PM. The woman, in her 40s, was just out for a walk when a tan and white bulldog type dog approached her and bit her leg.

What’s worse? The owner, a man in his 50s, just took off after the attack, leaving her injured. She’s had to go to the hospital twice since then for treatment.

Northumbria Police are asking for help to find this guy. They really want to hear from anyone who might have seen what happened. If you know anything, you can send them a message or call 101 with the crime reference number.
