Hull’s new McDonald’s at Sutton Fields moves forward with signage application approval

Hull: A key step has been taken for the new McDonald’s at Sutton Fields. This week, the council received an application for signage at the site.

In December, Hull City Council approved plans to replace the old bingo hall with a drive-through McDonald’s. The existing building is off Oslo Road.

The new application seeks permission for various signs. This includes a 12-meter tall totem pole sign and illuminated ‘Golden Arch’ and ‘Drive-thru’ signs.

Buzz Bingo has been leasing the building since McDonald’s acquired the site in 2022. Their lease ends this year. McDonald’s has kept Buzz Bingo updated on their plans.

The site will have 25 parking spaces, including accessible and electric vehicle charging spots. An agreement with the landowner will add 14 more spaces, totaling 39.
