Victoria: So, there’s been some news about a police officer in Victoria. She’s been accused of doing a Nazi salute, but guess what? She won’t be facing any criminal charges.

This 65-year-old sergeant got suspended after the incident at the police academy last October. Apparently, she approached some colleagues and greeted them with that gesture, which is pretty shocking.

It didn’t stop there; she allegedly did it again later in front of recruits and an instructor. The whole thing raised eyebrows, and the Chief Police Commissioner even apologized to the Jewish community when it first came out.

Last year, detectives looked into it and sent their findings to the Office of Public Prosecutions. But they decided there wasn’t enough evidence for a conviction, so that part of the case is done.

Now, the sergeant is still facing an internal investigation, and her suspension will continue while they sort this out. Just a heads up, in Victoria, doing that salute is illegal and can lead to hefty fines or even jail time.
