Sydney: A former child star from Underbelly, Jarin Towney, has found himself in a serious mess. He was arrested for having over 62 kilograms of meth, worth a staggering $12.5 million. Can you believe it?

At just 25, Jarin was once a rising star, known for his roles in Underbelly and Packed to the Rafters. He even acted in Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge. But things took a turn for the worse when he got involved in drugs.

Last year, he was caught with a shipment of meth hidden in a machine. The authorities in China intercepted the shipment and replaced the drugs with a fake. They tipped off the Australian Federal Police, who were waiting for it to arrive in Sydney.

When the shipment reached a warehouse, Jarin was supposed to unpack it. He was promised $50,000 for the job. But he got nervous when he thought he saw cops outside and messaged his contact, who reassured him that everything was fine.

Unfortunately for him, the police raided the place and found the drugs laid out on the floor. They also discovered a drug lab upstairs. Jarin has been in custody since his arrest.

After searching his home, police found more drugs, including cocaine and MDMA. It turns out he had been asked to do a “test run” for the operation, which involved picking up packages and repackaging drugs.

In court, Jarin pleaded guilty to possessing a commercial quantity of meth. The judge noted that his involvement was limited to just two weeks, but he still played a significant role.

Jarin has struggled with mental health issues and substance abuse for years. Despite his troubled past, he has been working on himself in prison and has shown remorse for his actions.

In the end, the judge sentenced him to seven years and nine months, with the possibility of parole in 2027. After the verdict, he waved to his family in the courtroom, hoping for a better future.
