Los Angeles: It’s heartbreaking to hear that Rory Sykes, a child star from the UK, has died in the recent fires. He was trapped in his Malibu home while his mom tried to get help. Rory was blind and had cerebral palsy, which made the situation even more tragic.

His mom, Shelley, shared the sad news on social media, saying her heart is broken. She described Rory as a wonderful son and a true gift. Born in Yorkshire in 1992, he grew up in Australia before moving to the US, where he starred in a 90s show called Kiddy Kapers and later founded the Happy Charity.

Shelley mentioned how Rory faced many challenges but always had a positive spirit. He loved traveling with her, exploring places from Africa to Antarctica. At just eight years old, he was already an inspirational speaker for Tony Robbins.

On that tragic day, Rory was in his own cottage on their estate when the fire broke out. Shelley tried to put out the flames but couldn’t because the water was turned off. Even the firefighters struggled without water. She said he will be deeply missed by her, his pet peacocks, and his fans worldwide.

The fires in Los Angeles have been devastating, claiming at least 11 lives and forcing many to evacuate. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex even visited a meal distribution site to support those affected. They were seen comforting people and meeting with emergency crews.

Harry and Meghan, who live nearby, have been helping by donating supplies and inviting evacuees into their home. They also shared a list of charities to support those impacted by the wildfires, emphasizing the need for community support during this tough time.

As the fires continue to rage, officials are working hard to contain them. The damage has been extensive, with thousands of homes destroyed and communities devastated. It’s a tough situation for everyone involved, and the community is coming together to help each other out.
