Woolwich: It’s a sad story coming out of southeast London. Two teenage boys have been charged with the murder of 14-year-old Kelyan Bokassa. He was stabbed on a bus last week.
The boys, aged 15 and 16, were arrested and charged early this morning. The police also took a 44-year-old woman into custody, but she’s been released while they continue their investigation.
These teens are now in custody and will appear in court soon, but their names can’t be shared because they’re minors. Kelyan was attacked on the 472 bus near Woolwich Church Street, and sadly, he died at the scene.
Kelyan was an aspiring rapper, and his mom, Mary, shared that he was a caring kid. She mentioned that, unfortunately, she wasn’t shocked by his death given the struggles he faced growing up.
Mary talked about how Kelyan had a tough childhood, moving around a lot and eventually getting involved with some bad influences. This tragedy follows another stabbing in the area just a few months ago, which makes it all the more heartbreaking.
