Cambridgeshire: So, there was this crash on the A14, right? Two people ended up in the hospital, but thankfully, their injuries were minor. It all went down between junctions 37 and 38 on a Tuesday morning.
The East of England Ambulance service got the call around 6:50 AM. They sent out two ambulances and an officer vehicle to check things out. A spokesperson mentioned that both patients were taken to West Suffolk Hospital for a bit of extra care.
Police and firefighters showed up too, which is always good to see. But, man, the traffic was a mess! Two out of three lanes were closed for a while, causing some serious delays until about 8:45 AM. One lane opened back up, but the other stayed shut.
Drivers had to sit tight for about 40 minutes before things started moving again. A spokesperson from National Highways said the crash caused “significant damage” to the central reservation barrier. Just goes to show how quickly things can go sideways on the road!
