Brentwood: This morning, two folks ended up in the hospital after a crash on the A12 Brentwood Bypass. It happened around 6:30 AM and has really messed up traffic heading south.

The accident took place between the Chelmsford Road exit and the M25 junction. It involved two vehicles, and for a while, all traffic was stopped for about 20 minutes. That’s a long time when you’re trying to get somewhere!

Because of the crash, traffic is backed up all the way to the A127 Southend Arterial Road and the A1023 Chelmsford Road. Drivers are having to find alternate routes, which is never fun.

An ambulance service spokesperson mentioned they got the call just before 6:30 AM about the collision. They sent two ambulances to help out, and both patients were taken to Queen’s Hospital for care.

Essex Police are also looking into the situation, but it’s still a bit chaotic out there. Stay safe if you’re in the area!
