Hackney: So, there were some pretty serious incidents over the weekend. Two guys got shot, and another one was stabbed. The police think these might be linked.
It all kicked off around 10:35 PM on Saturday. The cops got calls about gunfire in Homerton. They rushed out there with paramedics and even the Air Ambulance.
They found a 27-year-old guy with gunshot wounds right outside Homerton Station. Then, two other men, aged 28 and 29, were hurt nearby on Gascoyne Road. One had a gunshot wound, and the other had been stabbed.
Luckily, none of their injuries are life-threatening, which is a relief. But as of now, no one has been arrested.
Superintendent Brigid Beehag-Fisher from the local police said it’s concerning how some people seem to disregard community safety. She mentioned that the investigation teams are on it, trying to figure out what happened and who’s behind it.
To keep things safe, there will be more police around the area in the coming days. If anyone knows anything about this, they’re encouraged to talk to the officers or call the police with the reference number they provided.
