Manchester: So, there’s been quite a bit of drama at Manchester Airport. Two guys are heading to court because they allegedly assaulted police during a ruckus last year.

People shared videos online showing a police officer kicking a guy on the ground, which stirred up a lot of anger and protests. It was pretty shocking to see.

One of the guys, Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, is just 20 and from Rochdale. He’s facing multiple charges, including causing actual bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker.

His buddy, Muhammed Amaad, who’s 25 and also from Rochdale, is charged with causing actual bodily harm too. They both got caught up in this mess at Terminal Two.

The whole thing kicked off after some passengers had a spat on a Qatar Airways flight that landed around 7:20 PM on July 23. It escalated quickly.

According to the police, one female officer ended up with a broken nose, and two others had to go to the hospital. Not good at all.

Interestingly, prosecutors mentioned that experts believe there’s “no realistic prospect of conviction” for any of the police involved. So, it’s a bit of a tangled web.

These two will be in front of a judge at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court this Thursday. Let’s see how it all unfolds.
